Our primary goal is to collect stuffed animals that can help children in crisis. The best size is the huggable ones that fill a small child's arms.
However, even fairly large animals can be used, as they are great in offices of shelters and counselors and such where children have to wait.
Animals for very young babies are great (with the safe eyes that can't come off) as they go to pregnancy centers and at-risk day cares.
Animals that are realistic are great, like lions and tigers and bears (oh my!), but nothing too scary!
Also, nothing with batteries as it can't be washed, and kids in crisis rarely have access to new batteries when the old ones run out.
