If you are unable to ship, there are probably some different organizations in your area that would be grateful for your donation. Police departments and fire departments are a great place to start, as are domestic abuse help centers and homeless shelters that work with families. If you cannot find a place for your animals, please email me your general location and I can perhaps suggest a few more organizations that might be able to help.
Before you donate locally, we do ask that you wash your stuffed animals. Even if they have been in a clean box in a back closet and no where near chocolate-coated fingers of small people, it is always better for the animals to smell wonderful when the child hugs them for the first time. There's a full guide to washing them at the National SAFE site, which you can see by clicking HERE.
Thanks for taking the time to help a child feel loved!
